All types of metal can be permanently laser marked. A cermark/thermark ceramic surface agent is applied to the area to be laser engraved. Once lasered the product is then rinsed with water and all that remains is a perfectly crisp, permanent mark with absolutely no effect on the structure of the metal. Anodized metals do not receive the surface agent as the laser simply removes the anodized surface to expose the metal underneath.  Remember, because I am using a laser beam of light to engrave, cut, and mark, the product is never touched as it would be with traditional engraving tools. Applications range from serializing tools (as small as a drill bit or surgical tool) to awards, personalized jewelry, and signs.
